Mission/Vision
The Department of Civic Facilities is committed to providing a variety of events and activities which serve the entertainment and cultural needs of the community, generate economic benefits, and enhance the quality of life in the Roanoke Valley. We will maximize the use of the Civic Center Coliseum, the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre, the Special Events Center and the Exhibit Hall, through quality customer service, effective marketing strategies, and efficient operations. Our goal is to provide full-service facilities for our customers, while minimizing operating costs.
Responsibility
We provide sites for public assembly activities, market and promote our facilities to the general public and to potential clients, maintain and operate the physical facilities, and provide event services such as production, ticketing, security, event services, parking, and food and beverage services.
