The Citizens for Clean and Green Committee will host another City of Roanoke Green Academy beginning March 1! Sessions will meet at Fishburn Park Elementary School on consecutive Thursday evenings March 1,8,15 and 22, with a light dinner at 5:30 p.m., and presentations from 6 to 8 p.m. A graduation event will be held March 29.
Twenty-three city residents participated in the inaugural academy, which took place in spring 2011. A second academy was held last fall. Some of the materials from the previous academies may be accessed below. Topics are similar to what will be covered in the upcoming series.
The Green Academy is offered free of charge, but space is limited so register soon! Click on the Green Academy Registration link at the left to get started.
