Welcome to Encore Catering, the premier caterer for the Roanoke Civic Center. This brochure is designed to assist you in planning your event. The menus have been carefully crafted by our expert Chef and can be tailored and customized to fit your needs. Please call or visit our Food & Beverages Manager, at 540 853-5864 to discuss your event and find out how we can make it a success.
Food Service Reservations and Contracts
All contracts and menus must be signed and returned at least two weeks prior to your event. Food service requests made less than two business days in advance are subject to a 25% service charge. A guaranteed number of guests must be provided five days before your event and Encore Catering will be prepared to serve no more than 5% above that number. Customers are responsible for 100% of the guaranteed number, plus any additional portions served. Additions, deletions, or changes must be made at least three business days prior to the event. An additional charge of 25% will be incurred when such changes do not meet these time requirements. Cancellations that are made with less than two days notice prior to the scheduled event time will require payment of any costs of goods or services incurred by Encore Catering. When cancellations are made within two business days of the scheduled event, you may be charged the full price of the goods and services contracted.
Billing Information
A deposit of 50% of the total projected charges is required prior to the event, with payment of the balance due upon receipt of invoice. Payments may be made with cash, check or credit card (MasterCard, VISA, Discover).
Services
We offer catering both on and off premises. You may choose to have a full service event, purchase from our a la carte and party menus, or pick up orders. Full service events include china, service accessories and personnel. Full service off premise events will incur an additional $4 - $10 per person delivery and setup fee. A 20% service charge and 10% sales tax applies for all full service events. Floral arrangements and linens are available at an additional charge.
Facilities
The Roanoke Civic Center has space for any event from small corporate meetings to plated dinners for 2,500. Room rental rates vary depending on the event and food and beverage needs. Please contact Sales & Booking, at 540 853-6860 for space availability and quotes. We will travel to any location within the Roanoke Valley to service your event and specialize in corporate meetings at local offices. Other sites in the area that we commonly use include the Jefferson Center and the Fishburn House. We also offer a full range of Alcoholic Beverage Services. Cash and host bar services are available both on and off premises. Due to health regulations, the customer may not take excess food items from events served by Encore Catering from the event site. Any leftover items may not be returned for credit.

Chicken Cordon Bleu $
Fresh chicken breast stuffed with Black Oak Ham and Swiss cheese. Rolled and breaded with seasoned breadcrumbs. Served with a chicken Mornay sauce.
Seafood Au Gratin $
Our Chef's own delicious recipe combining crabmeat, shrimp and scallops, sauteed together and folded into a sherry cream sauce, with blends of cheeses, and topped with panko flakes, and then baked to perfection.
Basque Chicken $
Lightly floured chicken breast sauteed in butter and chardonnay, then braised with stewed tomatoes, artichokes, black olives, special herbs and spices, and topped with feta cheese.
Baked Ham $
Baked Black Oak Ham seasoned with pineapple and brown sugar. Sliced and served in its own juices and spiced pineapple.
Beef Tip Burgundy $
Select beef tips sauteed with shallots, garlic, and onions deglazed with burgundy and finished with a rich and robust beef stock. Served over egg noodles.
Chicken Marsala $
Lightly floured chicken breast sauteed then deglazed with a marsala wine reduction with mushrooms, and finished with cream.
Jambalaya $
A tribute to the Big Easy, a delicious combination of shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage, served in a rich and spicy Creole tomato sauce with rice, okra, peppers and onions.
